1) What is the difference in 'Certified or Approved ' stands and non certified stands?
2) Who uses non certified stands and why?
These stands often referred to as after market or PMA stands are used extensively by MRO, airlines and other aviation companies. For example due to higher costs and long lead times for certified stands operators will use these stands. Also economics, would you want to put a $ 100K run out engine on a $ 40K stand?
3) Can I not buy used certified stands?
Yes but availability is very limited as inventory sells as soon as it reaches the market. Also a used certified stand will often sell for more than a new non certified stand.
4) Are there different kinds of stands?
Yes the most common being the jet engine transportation and storage stand. This stand comes with casters and isolators ( shock absorbers ) that allow for the safe and effective transportation and storage of the jet engine.

5) What is a bootstrap capable stand?
This is a stand that will allow the use of a Bootstrap kit to lower the engine directly and safely on the Engine stand.
